Labor Day Weekend 2013 saw the Kamiah, Idaho Airport (S73) busy with activities including spot landing and flour bombing competitions, a delicious country breakfast prepared by CVAC Club members and Young Eagle flights for thirty-seven area youngster. They were sponsored by the Experimental Aircraft Association, Lewiston (EAA) and piloted by eight veteran pilots. In all, eighteen planes attended the fly-in ranging from a 1940’s era Aeronca Champ; to a Vee-tailed Sonex Waiex, a Cubcrafter’s Super Sports replica and a home-built 260 horsepower Murphy Moose.
Clearwater Valley Aero Club (CVAC) President, Jim Freeman thanked all pilots and volunteers for making the annual fly-in a great event. CVAC volunteers put on this annual fly-in to expose the general public to the joy of flying. The Aero-club also has its own instructor and offers the opportunity to acquire Private Pilot or Sport/Recreational Pilots licenses. The club can be contacted at: 208-935-0089 or check them out on facebook.
